McKenzie Ranger District

From McKenzie Bridge take Hwy. 126 26 miles east to the junction with Hwy. 20, go right to the Hoodoo Ski Bowl and turn right again. Follow USFS Rd. #2690 to the west end of Big Lake.

This trail begins at an elevation of 4,600 feet and ends in a loop at the starting point. Vegetation in the area includes high elevation timber, lodgepole pine, western hemlock, and alpine fir. Points of interest along the trail include the Patjens Lakes and the Mt. Washington Wilderness Area.
