McKenzie Ranger District
Take Hwy. 242 to milepost 65.5. The access point is at Alder Springs
Campground (locked when the highway is closed for the winter. As snow accumulates
the lower gate at White Branch is also locked).
Beginning elevation is 3,560 feet. Ending elevation is 3,600 feet.
This trail offers views of Linton Lake and Linton Falls in a heavily
forested area with big timber and lava flows.
