McKenzie Ranger District
Take Hwy. 126 east 7 miles from McKenzie Bridge, turn right unto Scott
Creek Rd. (USFS Rd. #2649). Travel another 4 miles on the main road and
look for the hiker symbol marking the trail.
This trail skirts around the forested areas of the Mt. Washington Wilderness
Area and offers a wide variety of views. Access is also provided to Scott
Mt. The area is moderately forested and is an example of a sub-alpine ecosystem.
Beginning elevation is 4,080 feet. The trail ends at 3,900 feet at Robinson
Lake.
There are intermittent springs in the early season along the route,
taking your own water is recommended.
