Blue River Park

Turn into the unincorporated community of Blue River at milepost 41.3 from Highway 126, then turn right unto Rose Street (just before crossing the bridge). A narrow, paved road opens out into a 22 acre park nestled in a natural bowl on the south bank of Blue River.

User fees help maintain this public park, donated to the community by a local logging family. Facilities include picnic tables, a covered cooking area and sunken barbecue pits, as well as running water. For the sports minded there is a softball diamond and a jogging track used by the local high school. Fishing is only a few feet away in Blue River, named for the unusual color of rocks in its bed.

Use of the site is generally free, except when reserved for large athletic outings, family reunions, or outdoor weddings. For more information, call 822-6057.
